Verify - DOS/Command Prompt Reference
Configures to check whether the file is written correctly to a disk.
Syntax
verify [ON | OFF]
- ON | OFF
- Specifies ON to check, and OFF not to check.
- If you omit this option, the current status is displayed.
Details
While Verify is ON, writing to a disk may slow. The default setting is OFF.
Apart from Verify, Copy and Xcopy has an option (‘/V’) whether to check.
